I write fieldnotes — observations recorded before the interpretation, on leadership, alignment, and the gap between who we are and how we're understood. Sometimes the subject is an institution. Often it's a person who is much further along than her own bio admits. Always it's about what becomes possible when the description finally fits the woman.
